Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Account data — your name, email address and password (passwords are stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture.
• Location— to show events near you, we use either your device's approximate/precise location (only with your permission) or an approximate location derived from your IP address. You can decline device location and search by choosing an area manually.
• Content you create— events you add (title, description, date, venue, location), photos and videos you upload, favorites, and "going together" requests and messages.
• Social handles— if you choose to add them (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Twitch, Omniamus). These are shown only to people you are matched with in "going together", never publicly.
• Usage data — searches you run, including your monthly Quemox AI search count, and alert areas you set.
• Device & notifications — a push notification token so we can send you alerts, and basic technical data (device type, app version) needed to run the Service.
• Payment data — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe (web) or Google Play / Apple (in-app). We never receive or store your full card details; we store only your subscription status and the identifiers our payment providers give us.

2. How we use your data

• To show you relevant events around your chosen area.
• To let you add events, save favorites and find company.
• To run Quemox AI research for the area you request.
• To send the alerts and notifications you opt into.
• To provide and manage subscriptions.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising profiles.

3. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:

• Hosting & database — our cloud hosting and database providers, which store your account and event data.
• Media storage — the photos and videos you upload are stored with our cloud storage provider and served publicly as part of the events you post.
• Payments — Stripe (web) and Google Play / Apple (in-app purchases).
• Push notifications — our push delivery provider, which relays notifications to your device.
• Maps & places — map tiles and place lookups are provided by third-party mapping services when you use those features.
• Quemox AI research — when you ask Quemox AI to find events, we send the area you selected (approximate coordinates and category) to our AI research provider. We do not send your identity, contacts or account details.

4. Location data

Location is central to the Service. Precise device location is used only while you are using the app and only if you grant permission; you can revoke it at any time in your device settings. Without location permission, we fall back to an approximate area from your IP address, or you can pick an area manually.

5. Your rights and choices

• Access, correct or update your profile in your account.
• Remove events, photos, favorites and social handles you added.
• Turn alerts and notifications on or off at any time.
• Delete your account and associated personal data by emailing us at contact@omniamus.com. We remove your account data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (e.g. transaction records) by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Events you contributed may remain in the public catalogue in an anonymised form (without linking them to you).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

8. Children

Quemox is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including within the EU and the United States, by us and our providers. We take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
